BOHEMIAN THEATER ENSEMBLE TO DONATE PROCEEDS FROM 'LOVE'S FIRE' TO SEASON OF CONCERN

When Bohemian Theater Ensemble's mission statement includes the intent to "challenge convention through literary originality and eclectic expression," it's no surprise to find a piece like Love's Fire in their season.
With a collection of esteemed authors including William Finn, John Guare, Tony Kushner, Marsha Norman, Ntozake Shange, Wendy Wasserstein, and Eric Bogosian, Love's Fire comprises seven one-act plays, each based on a different Shakespearean sonnet.
The combined effect is dazzling - as The New York Times reported at the play's premiere in 1998, "...it's the contrasts within Love's Fire that give it such a hopeful glow. They demonstrate that poems spun four centuries ago continue to evolve and mutate in ''the guts of the living'' and may well do so forever. That is something to celebrate. "
Season Of Concern is grateful to Bohemian Theater Ensemble for donating a portion of the proceeds of their benefit performance of Love's Fire to SOC.
